At NutriBudget we take your privacy seriously. This notice explains what information we collect, what we use it for, and what we do not do with it.
When you use NutriBudget, we may collect:
Your data is stored securely with Supabase, a database provider with access controls (Row Level Security) that ensure only you can view and modify your own information. The Supabase servers we use are located in the United States. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, this involves an international transfer of your data outside the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom; Supabase relies on standard contractual clauses and other safeguards to protect your information in accordance with applicable law.
Where data protection laws such as the GDPR or the UK GDPR apply, we process your data on the basis of: your consent (when you sign up and accept these terms), the need to provide the service you ask for (calculating your recommendations and saving your progress), and our legitimate interest in keeping the app running for free through advertising.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone. The only "sharing" of data happens with:
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before showing ads, and you can review or change that choice at any time from the "Legal" screen inside the app ("Manage my ad consent"). On Android you can also limit ad personalization in your device's Google settings.
If you use the app as a guest, your data is still saved (so the app can work), but under an anonymous account with no contact details. If you sign out without signing up with an email and password, you permanently lose access to that data, because an anonymous account cannot be recovered.
You can edit or correct your personal data at any time from the "Edit my profile" screen inside the app. You can permanently and immediately delete your account and all your data with the "Delete my account" button inside the app, or by writing to: contacto.nutribudget@gmail.com. You can also write to that address to ask for access to, or a copy of, the personal information we hold about you.
If you are in the European Union, in addition to the rights above, you have the right to: request a copy of your data (portability), object to the processing of your data, request that we restrict its use, and withdraw your consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or with the supervisory authority of your country if you believe we have not handled your data properly.
If you are in the United Kingdom, you have similar rights under UK data protection law and may lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). If you are in Canada, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. If you are in the United States, including California, you may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information by writing to the address above.
We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently and immediately erased from our systems.
NutriBudget is not directed to children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under that age.
We may update this privacy notice from time to time. We will let you know about important changes through the app.

NutriBudget is an app that helps you plan meals and recipes according to your budget, calculating estimates of cost, calories and macronutrients based on information you provide.

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. If you use guest mode, you understand that losing access to your device or signing out without signing up may result in the permanent loss of your data.
The content of the app (recipes, design, the "NutriBudget" brand, calculation logic) is the property of Jesús Óscar Sánchez Villanueva and may not be copied or redistributed without authorization.
NutriBudget is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free at all times, or that calculations, prices or recommendations will be accurate in every case (see the specific disclaimers below). We are not responsible for decisions you make based solely on the information in the app without consulting a professional when necessary.
We may modify, suspend or discontinue features of the app at any time, with or without notice.
We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or that pose a security risk to other users.
These terms are governed by the laws of Nuevo León, Mexico, without prejudice to the consumer protection laws that apply in each user's country of residence.

The information, calorie and macronutrient calculations (protein, carbohydrates, fat) and recipe recommendations offered by this app are approximate estimates based on general formulas (such as the basal metabolic rate calculation) and on the information you provide (weight, height, age, gender, activity level, goal).
